Mostly useless rantings and the like. Then again, isn't everything?
Why am I writing this?

I never really cared too much for blogs, but I find myself writing one anyway. I try to think of it as less a blog and more an electronic journal. That said, I hope that you, the reader, find this to be of higher caliber than your typical Xanga blog. I'm also hoping that the intelligence of my typical audience will be higher than that of other blogging websites I have visited in the past. Sad to say, that won't be difficult.

About me? Well, I am a 20 year old student from Davenport, Iowa. I'm very shy and reserved, but I'm also very laid back. I'm going to school to get a Bachelor's in computer network administration. This semester I'll be a junior. I go to a small private university here in Davenport called Saint Ambrose, or I will be. The first two years I spent at the local community college. When I'm not at school, I'm either working or at the computer (usually). My other hobbies are fishkeeping, off-roading, reading, photography, music, web design, camping, hiking, and films.

These are pretty boring times in my life. Most of my friends are moving on to out-of-town schools, and I'm about the only one sticking around. Nothing much is happening over the summer for me, and it really feels like the world is moving without me. Most of the things that people my age do around here (binge drinking, drugs) do not appeal to me, so I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. This journal will hopefully provide a decent outlet for all of my frustrations.
